Beginner
Phrasebook Fluent
Right now, Spanish mostly happens *to* you. You can say hello and order something cold, but the moment someone answers at full speed you are guessing, and the ñ is not yet your friend. Good news: this is the level where a few weeks of the right phrases — not grammar drills — pays off fastest.
Intermediate
Fluent but Foreign
You can get the beers in, text a landlord and survive a Sunday lunch — right up until three natives start talking at once. You understand Spanish; the next job is sounding Spanish: the «llevo dos años» constructions, the register calls, the slang families. That's exactly the gap the books were written for.
Advanced
They Stopped Switching to English
