Vocabulary Highlights

• ¿qué le pongo? — how a waiter asks what you’d like, built on the verb “poner” rather than “querer.”
• tostada con tomate — the classic Spanish breakfast: toast rubbed with fresh tomato and a drizzle of olive oil.
• marchando — a cheerful confirmation that your order is on its way, common in cafés and bars.
• ¿le traigo la cuenta? — the polite way staff offer the bill, using “usted” with a customer they don’t know.
